My PCVR-- My nephew's headset as a "guest"?

AngryRedHerring

I'm trying to set things up so my nephew can play Half-Life Alyx, streaming from my PC to his headset. I have my own headset, but he has a habit of eventually destroying everything he touches, so I'm not letting him anywhere near my pristine rig.  He is on his second Quest 2, and his old one looks like it was chewed up by a hippopotamus.

What is the simplest, least-account-violating way to let him access my Steam VR via his headset over Rift?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Hi @AngryRedHerring 🙂

You have to share your steam library to your nephew.

After that he have access to your steam library from his own steam account.

He also have to be logged in with his Meta account on your pc in order to link his Quest to your pc.

That's how I would do it.... there might be a better way, I'm not sure🤔

On a suggestion from another forum, it turned out we just had to install Steam Link to his headset, and then he could access my Steam account. Didn't need to use the Meta app at all.  But thanks!

Great!!

Having more than one option to get things sorted is always good😁
