My Quest 2 is stuck at the setup screen after a factory reset and displaying a black screen

A few days ago, my Quest 2 could still be played, although it occasionally experienced tracking issues, but they usually resolved on their own after some time. Until yesterday, every time I turned it on, it was truly stuck on a "lost tracking" popup and couldn't do anything. The controllers couldn't connect either and kept vibrating constantly. Finally, I decided to perform a factory reset, However, every time the VR boots up, the setup screen appears for a few seconds before going black again, with the controllers continuously vibrating and not connecting.

Hi Im having the same issue.  Just have the Oculus 2 two weeks already and is not working

Controllers keeps buzzing.

Hey there, @Jusaol! We appreciate you reaching out to us and reporting the issue you're experiencing with your Quest 2. We want to make sure that you are able to continue your adventures in VR, so let's work together to get to the bottom of this!

Please try the following steps:

  1. Remove any unsupported third-party accessories that may affect the boot.
    • For example, external battery packs, accessories that plug into the USB-C port, etc.
  2. Have the headset charge for at least 2 hours before doing anything else on it.
    • Afterwards, check the battery light color and status (solid or blinking) and report to us what it looks like.
  3. Hold down the power button for 30 seconds to restart the device.
  4. Remove batteries from controllers for a couple of minutes, and then reinsert them.
  5. There are two different ways to perform a factory reset. If you tried resetting from the headset previously, this time try to reset from the mobile device (and vice versa).

We hope these steps help! If not, please reach back out to us via PM, as we'll need to gather some sensitive information so we can explore all of our options!
