My Quest 2 not charging

Hi, my Meta Quest 2 is giving the light as if it is charging but when I unplug it to go play it always says its dead I have tried a dock extra battery packs the original cable other cables I have done everything to do with the cable and nothing has worked but the few times it does charge it dies super fast (within 2 hours) please help and how do I fix it. Thanks

Hey there! A headset that charges properly is essential for VR, so we'd love to help you figure this out! We understand that, despite displaying the orange LED that shows it's charging, your headset appears to never fully charge- is that correct? Does your headset ever manage to charge to green? We'd also like to recommend removing your headset's facial interface and then attempting to charge. The interface can sometimes contribute to charging issues, so we'd like you to give that a try and let us know if things improve!

1/3 times it will actually charge will the other times the battery level stays the same or drop a percent or two. I will give your idea a try and thanks for the help!

 

No problem! We've found that removing the facial interface has helped others in the past, so we hope it will help you too! Please also note that 2-3 hours of battery life is fairly standard for a Quest 2, so it's possible that much is behaving normally!
