Oculus platform keeps saying my Display cord does not work. If I launch games from my desktop or steam it works fine. Its been a month since I have been able to access my expensive library.

Something that you can try to get the device up and running is disconnecting and reconnecting your Rift S cable from the PC following the steps below:
Unplug the USB cable from your computer
Unplug the mini DisplayPort or DisplayPort cable from your computer
Wait 10 seconds
Re-plug your USB cable into your computer
Wait 10 seconds
Re-plug your mini DisplayPort or Display port cable into your computer
Your headset should receive a firmware update. Allow this update to proceed
Check to see if the DisplayPort is detected and there is an image in the headset
You can also try other ports on your PC to check their capabilities with the cable.
