I record videos and play Vrchat for a living so this really is not helpful.
After not charging my oculus for 2 days after getting hurt while recording a video, I decided to plug in my oculus for an hour to get it going. I smelled smoke and before I knew it the charging port was melted on the inside. I am extremely upset because I got this November 6th of last year and already I have had an issue like this. As someone who spend their time and money in games for Meta, I expect some decency when it comes to their consoles.
I've tried contacting support with no response and I'm starting to feel really disappointed. What more can I do?
This is just sad man... It melted the middle piece flat.

Do you play with the cable attached? If so, it's been inadequately secured and mas moved around, damaging the port.

Also, I love the idea that people can make a living playing VR Chat. I feel really old.

I don't play with the cable in as I've been told not to by others who also play with me. I only put the cable in when it needs to charge and that's when I get off.
Plus I feel like having that plugged in while playing isn't such a good idea. I saw way too many videos of people tripping over their charger to know better.
Im just more concerned because I had taken a 2 day break and when I went to charge it after the 2 days, that's when it smelt weird and I realized the charging port had melted.
