My headset is stuck in a boot loop - Quest 2

Hi guys,

My quest 2 has been working perfectly since i got in on 22nd of october. Now suddenly it will not boot up anymore. When I turn it on, it shows the oculus logo, stays there for a few seconds, then shuts down for a few seconds, and then shows the logo again, shuts down, logo, shuts down.... The only way I can really stop this, is by acessing the usb update menu on one of the loops and selecting "Power off".

I have tried all the options and they do nothing. If I select "boot device", it starts the boot loop again as before. The same thing happens if I select "factory reset". Once I confirm that i want to factory reset it, it just goes back into the boot loop, and nothing else happens. So yes, i did try to factory reset it, but it just doesnt work. 

Any ideas and tips would be greatly apreciated.

my vr did the boot where it sounded like I worked and did the same thing, so I did the factory reset and it turned on and the meta logo was blinking slowly.

My quest 2 crashed and got stuck on boot loop ive tried everything powering off then back on and the factory reset ive tried leaving it off charging for 30 min then back on nothing ive tried 30 seconds power button to restart ive tried everything i might know why tho it might not work i think maybe when i was cleaning my headset i mightve messed sum up i used clorox wipes and a rag but i would use clorox then quickly use rag wipe it off i did touch the proximity sensor with the clorox but i did quickly use the rag to dry off as fast as i can just in case then i started it up thats when i start to have this problem.

mine has the same exact problem but the power light thingy is not on at all any tips or ideas would be great really dont have the money for a new quest 2

From there, hard reboot the device by holding the power button for 30 seconds. If any issues continue, please send us a PM

I have the same booting problem....and no It will not let me factory reset.  I cannot factory reset with the meta app because the quest 2 will not boot so it cannot connect to the app.  I only had the unit for 6 weeks.  Very frustrating.  I think meta does this on purpose with updates.
