My left controller moves backward when I’m pushing forward

I removed batteries, unpaired and paired again and no luck. Makes oculus almost unusable. Just got it for Christmas so less than a month old and very gently used. Any ideas?

Was there a fix to that s issue? I had my oculus few months and this is happening to me I have done the battery replacement and all things listed. It isn't all the time but last few times it's happening more. Do I need to get new one or is there another quick fix I can do? Playing zenith vr wonder if it's the the game it self. When it happens I have to move forward on an angle to move forward. Sometimes it will work normal but last few days it's not. Don't really play other things requiring me to push forward on joystick to see if happens on other games.

I have the same problem and none of the options above help. I don't think I need a replacement because I got this just a few weeks ago.

Hi there, @James_is_happy! We'd like you to have as smooth a time as possible in the VR world, so we'd love to help with your controller! For clarification to begin with, what specific model of device do you have with us? Is your controller only moving backwards when pushing forward or are all of the controls doing the opposite of what you're inputting? Also, were you able to check your controller in Accessibility settings on your headset to be sure your joystick input is not set to inverted? Have you tried a different play environment at all? Let us know and we can continue from there!

I am having the exact same problem and I just got a month ago. My VR is a Meta Quest 2, and it has not been doing this for a long time, It just started to do this a couple weeks ago, I would love if anybody knew how to fix it.

Hey, @ThatOneGuyJax! Welcome to the community, it's good to see you here. 🙂 It's important to make sure your components are all set before gaming, so I suggest taking out the battery from the controller for 30 seconds. Another thing you can try is unpairing and pairing  the controller.

If these steps don't solve the issue, shoot a PM to @MetaQuestSupport. They'll be more than happy to take a closer look into the issue for you. Please select their name to get to our profile page, or click here. Next, click "Send a Message" to privately message them! Please remember, you must be signed into the community first to send them a private message.

I hope to see you around the forums!

Don't worry be happy.

So when I talked to an agent, they said change the dead zone of the controllers or something. It is that or the thumbstick angle. To get there, go to Apps→ Settings→ Devices→ Controllers→ Scroll to the bottom and do both. Change dead zone, and change thumbstick angle. That worked for me, so you can try that if it is still not working. Thanks!
