My quest 3 isn't charging with my link cable and I've had no problem doing it with quest 2 but it just stays at the same percentage.. I haven't tried the charger the comes in the box but It should be charging.

Fair enough. FYI, I looked and a powered USB-C hub I found was $18 after applying a 35% off coupon offer. This from the product description:
The USB C to USB C hub is equipped with the 24W DC power adapter and has three 10Gbps Data transmission ports, one 10Gbps USB C Data Transfer & Fast Charging Port that can be used simultaneously to meet various needs.
I already mentioned, I know very little about USB-C, but would something like this work for you?
Edit: Oh. I just noticed that it says it doesn't do video over USB-C, so probably would not work for you, but maybe there are others?

There alot of those kind of cables that don't meet the specs required for the quest link cable itself.
Need meta to respond to this item really

Hmm, yea. I just think the pc's that we have aren't putting out enough power. Because when I plug my link cable into the wall charges the headset just fine.

And that's what Meta needs to supply to make their claim in the link cable site accurate. The information so people know what spec USB card to buy for their PC if needed. Otherwise their advertising on the link cable is just false

There are already a few problems that I can List with my quest 3, such as the pass-through, though it is grainier than what is in their marketing campaign trailers. Though I love many aspects of the Quest 3, my main problem is the battery life. Though I don't blame Meta for the battery being smaller or that the Quest is more power-hungry, it is ridiculous that I can only play on it for about 2hr while plugging it into my PC while using it. I'll go from 100% to 50% in over half the time Quest 2 did, meaning I get much less playtime. With my Quest 2, I could typically get 4-6 hours of gameplay out of it due to it charging from being linked to my PC, but this headset will not charge quickly enough for this to be viable, which is almost absurd.
The charging on this thing is so bad that even with a higher-watt power block I use will take over 4 hours to charge from 20% to 100%. That is at least double the time it would take my Quest on similar workloads, but at least my Quest 2 wouldn't get that low as it would charge at a higher speed than it could utilize.
I understand this is a new product, but this has to be a software issue. So please fix this, as it puts a damper and a hindrance on your claims for this to be an excellent headset for both standalone and PCVR.

Yeah, I'm not too fond of the rapid battery drain myself. I have a BoboVR battery strap / pack. With the Quest 2, it slowly replenishes the battery no matter what I'm doing. I decided to experiment and remove the battery dock and strap it onto the Quest 3's default head strap. Instead of a slow replenishment of battery life, the Quest 3's battery continues to deplete over time...about 1% every 5-10 minutes. The Quest 2 would gain about 1% every 2-3 minutes with the same battery pack.
I'd like to see Meta push out an update to hopefully improve battery life...because right now, I'm not sure the extra performance and graphical fidelity is worth the faster battery drain.

Make sure you're using the original charging cable.
I tried using many, many third party cables because I wanted to use a right angle USB-C plug so my kids don't break the USB-C port. Unfortunately none of the cables would charge fast enough so I had to revert to using the original cable.
Thankfully the VR Power battery works with the original MQ3 plug.

I know there's so many people with issues out there regarding this with the quest 2, but I cant seem to find a legitimate solution. My quest 3 drops from 100% charge to 70% after an hour of playtime. I usually play with 90hz, unless I'm playing a FPS.
I am using a quest 3 with the official Meta/Oculus link cable, rated USB 3.2 Gen 1. My Motherboard is an Asus TUF x670e-plus, and I'm connecting my cable to the USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 port. I have disabled USB selective suspend in my power management settings, and removed all power saving features for USB within device manager.
The only thing I have not tried is using an off brand link cable with external power delivery. Any tips or guidance is greatly appreciated.
