My quest 3 isn't charging with my link cable and I've had no problem doing it with quest 2 but it just stays at the same percentage.. I haven't tried the charger the comes in the box but It should be charging.

We need the topic here marked not solved. The solution posted is not accurate nor is it a solution. I've noted a few things further back as to why and inquired for more information but we are getting nothing on that front so far.
this is a serious issue and deal breaker for me. i dont think i would have upgraded if i knew this would have been an issue. at this point its not even an upgrade. i play through the pc so this has to be a must and the quest 2 didnt have charging issues while playing
My experience with the Quest 2 Link charging is that it will drain my battery way way slower than using AirLink. So the USB3 port of my gaming PC will charge the Quest 2 enough that I can probably play all day. When I stop playing, the USB3 port has to top the battery, and it's usually topped within 20 mins (maybe).
Also, Quest 3, when using Link, is not "rendering" the game, the PC does the expensive rendering. I am sure the devs can find a middle ground for charging while using Link. Surely the Quest 3 doesn't get "too hot" just displaying the rendered scenes from the PC?
I am watching this forum post as well. I will get a Quest 3 once I know it can "float" charge using USB3. For me, this is a must as well. Cheers.
My Quest 3 don't charge with USB-C cable conected to a computer even when the headset is off or not in use. I will repeat: even if the headset is off or not in use.
I can wait 2 hours, 5 hours, all day and even 1 billion years, it not recharge.
I'm not saying charge is slow, i'm saying charge is zero, no charge, not even +1%.
Others said the same here, so engeniers solution don't work for me and others. May be ask to the cooking guy or the lady that takes care of the engeniers trash.
There is no computer USB-C recharge in Quest 3, so make this clear for everyone or recall all sold Quest 3.
