My quest 3 won't launch and will only display the meta logo

SpinyDan
Explorer

My brother was going to get our vr headset and he noticed that it would only show the meta logo spin then disapear and then reappear again just to do the same.

I tried powering it off but it would turn on but show the software update screen and whenever i would try to enter the boot menu, it would open for a split second and then close and just go back to the flashing meta logo.

Does anyone have a fix?

same thing happening to me dude. My headset is stuck on usb update mode and  it won’t do anything none of the options have any effects, and it just doesn’t want to cooperate like it has a mind of its own. It’s really disappointing since I just got this vr

Hello @SpinyDan! Thank you for reaching out to us about this. Having your device stuck on the boot loop is not what we like to hear. Thank you for mentioning the troubleshooting steps you've already tried. We would like to know a little bit more about this issue. Please let us know the following:

  • When did you first start experiencing this issue?
  • Were you ever able to pair your headset with your mobile app?
  • If you have been able to pair your device to your mobile app previously, did it ever ask for an update?
  • Are you experiencing any error messages when turning it on and attempting to move forward? If so, would you be able to provide screenshots of the error message?
  • Please make sure to remove any unsupported third-party accessories that may affect the boot.
  • Ensure the headset is charged by allowing it to charge for at least 2 hours. Note the color of the LED on the side of the headset. If, after charging for 2 hours, you still see a red LED, this could be a sign of a battery or charging issue.

We do look forward to hearing back from you and looking into this further as soon as possible.

We see you, @Gundamfn, and just want you to know that we've received your PM and will continue assisting you there!

I’m having the exact same issue right now for the past few days. What is the resolution?

I have been able to connect it and I have owned this headset for two months and the problem started two weeks and a half weeks ago. I do have a Bobo vr headstrap and I will take it off to charge it. I think I tried updating it but nothing happened.

Hey there, @SpinyDan! We understand that you're having some issues launching your Quest 3. We know that this could be preventing you from having the full VR experience, so we'd love to help out! If you could send us a screenshot of what you're seeing on your display, we'd really appreciate that.  If you could also let us know if you're playing PCVR or standalone. [Update] When the headset died, it started working again like normal but when I turned it off, it went back to the flashing meta logo. I did manage to enter both boot menus and I clicked reboot on both of them but it still didn't fix the problem. I did take a photo and a video of the problem:

the update bar also showed up but nothing happened and this bar also showed up after booting the headset again.
