Hello y'all;
So i'm on Quest 2,
On air link and with a cable it seems that I don't have any haptics feedback / vibration on my touch controller and I really don't know what to do I tried everything and it looks like I'm the only one having this issues (Now in 2024 i mean) and I tried different methods such as:
- going into my %appdata% files to see if the rumble was on or off (update it seems that i don't find this setting file anymore)
- installed and uninstalled the game and the meta air link app on pc
- used the -vrmode oculus launch option
- Tried other vr games that worked just fine (it's just beat saber)
So I saw that I could also go on an anterior version of BS but this was from people that got this probleme 3 or 4 years ago bcs of an issue with unity, (Personnaly i don't think it's that but i can also be wrong) but now i'm running out of idea my friends have vibration, I had haptics feedback when i played it like two month ago. So now I also tried reinstalling an older version of the game and it seems that it doesn't work either.
So if someone know something or maybe can guarantee me that if I just reset my pc it 'll just work just tell me(just restarted it but not reseting it because I don't really want to reinstall everything but if I have to i'll do it).
Thanks to y'all who will respond. (srry if my english is kinda bad sometimes)

Hi @SmokeTexas 🙂
- used the -vrmode oculus launch option
so you are talking about beat saber bought on steam?

I have the same issue and the game is on steam.

Hi @Umpa_Quest 🙂
If you bought the game on steam, I think, the best you can d o is to ask the steam community if there are others with the same problem.
Maybe they already found a solution/workaround.
Beat Saber Issues & Troubleshooting :: Steam Community
If the issue only occur in beat saber, you can also send a mail to contact@beat-games.com
and report the problem.
And you can use steam link instead of the pc link app..... just to check out, if the problem is caused by the pc link app.
You can get steam link for free in the Meta Quest store.

Be advised it also does not work on the oculus client for RiftS. So it is either the game that is borked on both steam and the oculus/meta store or meta PC client that does not work with that game.

Yes, I heard about that..... but I thought you are using a Quest?
Anyways....
I usually play on Meta, but I own the game on steam also.
So, I checked it for you.... I do have haptic feedback.
So it's not a problem of the link app, also the game is not broken.
Maybe...have you modded the game?
I'm asking because My game was modded and first, when checking it for you, It didn't even start. I got only a black screen.
Caused by old files form modding which I didn't deleted - shame on me🙄
After uninstalling, deleting all old files in the game folder and reinstalling it works perfectly fine again.

Hi thanks for the reply, so we have 2 high end computers a Rift S and 2 Quest 1. BeatSaber that runs native on the Quests have haptic feedback. We have 2 copies of the steam version installed on both gaming computers, these are on different steam and oculus accounts. One of the gaming PC's also has a RiftS connected, although we disconnect that when we want to play PCVR with the quests. The machine with the RiftS also has a copy of BeatSaber bought on the oculus store.
None of the steam installs of BeatSaber have haptic feedback, either steam or oculus, RiftS or Quest when played via AirLink - I have not tried the quest with USB yet.
None of the BeatSabers are modded, and all are legit (just in case you thought not).
So the fact we have 2 totally independent computers, with independent account, through different headsets and the same game does not give haptic feedback when using what are RiftS/Quest1 controllers is mind blowing.
In Fact the only common denominator is that both PC's are running the latest versions of windows 11 home edition.
so.......

Just to clarify, I know the RiftS does not use AirLink and is cabled, but that also has no haptic feedback from Oculus or Steam versions.

I tried it cable linked with Quest 2 ..... but it should not make any difference if using airlink or USB.
Sadly, I have no answer for you.
I hope, someone else can help you to solve your problem.

You should have mentioned you have a Quest 2. Now it makes some sense. RiftS and Quest1 use the same controllers and both of these systems are having issues. Quest 2 and 3 use a different controller to Quest 1 and RiftS.
The question still remains, is this a game bug issue or a Oculus client issue, that seem to only affect Quest 1 and RiftS.
I take it you don't have a RiftS or Quest1 ?
