NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Ti Compatibility

Hi there,

I just purchased a $300 Meta Quest 3s, just to find out my PC's GPU is incompatible with Oculus Link. Mind you, I didn't even check beforehand because my PC is cracked... but clearly the GPU is way outdated compared to the rest of it... this was a pre-built PC, without an openable case, so it's not like I can just switch out my graphics card.

My question is - is Oculus working to allow NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Ti Compatibility? Or is there another way to play PCVR? Really all I want to do is connect to SteamVR for the sake of being able to play VR in Unity projects that I build.

Let me know if you have any insight. Thanks!

@ReisCodes  unfortunately meta removed the 1650Ti from the list of supported GPUs as it may not give you a very good experience in VR.

However, you can try the SteamLink or Virtual Desktop apps that bypass meta's hardware check and allow you to stream VR games wirelessly from your PC using a router. You may have to turn some of the graphics setting down to get a playable experience.

Steam Link on Meta Quest | Quest VR Games | Meta Store   -  free

Virtual Desktop on Meta Quest | Quest VR Games | Meta Store    -  not free

Four Rift CV1s, Quest 2, Quest 3, Lenovo Explorer WMR.
