Need Help in Disabling Meta Quest Link Gaze Cursor / Head Pointer Dot on Quest 3

Hi Everyone,
I need help in disabling the gaze cursor when using Quest 3 via Meta Quest Link on PC.
I already disabled the option in my Quest 3 settings.
gaze cursor offgaze cursor off
But the cursor still shows up when I placed down the quest controllers and pick up the PC controller.

The gaze cursor makes any game unplayable because it acts like a hovering mouse and gets triggered with the slightest movement of the headset.

The reddit thread's issue is that he's getting a head cursor while watching 2D videos on a browser inside quest, easily solved with a different browser.
My issue is about Meta Link on PC that enables head cursor while playing games. Downloading a different browser won't solve it.
I'm playing mostly flat games on PC, specifically Monster Hunter World.
I tried Steam Link, using a TypeC-to-C cable+controller attached to Q3. I can enter the VR space, launch the game, but can't control it. When entering through flat Big Picture mode, it's just a black screen. The app is still responding, because I can see Steam on PC responding to the controller and I can press+hold 'Select' button to show options and exit back to main menu.
I just gave up and bought a "Hagibis HDMI-to-TypeC capture card/cable+PD".

@geronimo8  what games are you playing, mostly meta or Steam games. If you use steamLink or Virtual Desktop apps to stream Steam games from the PC then you don't need to launch the meta link software and don't get the head cursor. If you want to play meta PCVR games I believe you can get them to work in Steam using the Revive software but there will be a bit of a performance hit.

Four Rift CV1s, Quest 2, Quest 3, Lenovo Explorer WMR.

Hey there, @geronimo8 👋

Have you found any workaround for this issue with what @oculusness has suggested?

If not, let us know and we can look into it further 👀 There is also a Reddit thread where one user with a similar issue was able to find success using a different browser 🙂
