I’ve tried everything meta said to do to fix the drift on my meta quest 2 controller, but nothing worked. I’ve tried cleaning it, cleaning the sensors on the headset, unpairing and repairing it, but none of those solutions worked. Dead zone can’t fix it as in order for me to move in games, I world have to fight the stick drift to move, and I’m not going to try disassembling it as I feel like I’m going to make it stop working when I put it back together. Is there a way I can send it to meta to have it repaired? My warranty has already expired, and I have too much data to factory reset the headset, and I know the drift has something to do with the left controller itself, so that won’t work. Is there a way I can extend the warranty?

It's always the left controller, the one we use to move ....
I doubt that meta will let you purchase a warranty after a problem developes, but you never know. It is working talking to them about it. You can send a private message to @MetaQuestSupport .
Here is a thread you may find interesting:
I was able to recover my Quest 2 controller. Not only did it drift, but it glitched when pushed full on. It would be full on, then nothing, then full on again. It wasn't an issue except for games that were click to run because run was always being canceled out as the game thought I was stopping and then going again.
Read all the disclaimers in that thread and also read Meta's opinion and then decide for yourself. I didn't have to pry anything off my controller to get it working, but I will suggest going in with two things in mind:
1. Be prepared to buy a new controller if it goes horribly wrong
2. Know that even if it does work it will not turn your worn controller into a new controller, but I was able to keep mine going for months until the Quest 3 came out.

Hey @Xentical! We see that you were having issues with drift in your left controller and know how that can really be a hinderance to your VR experience. While we would not recommend disassembly of your controller, we wanted to follow up with you and see if you still need assistance with your issue. We will be patiently waiting for your response and hope to get you back on track!
