My son has been playing games on my parent account instead of his child account. Meta is not user-friendly in my opinion and I just didn’t understand enough how this all works. I want the accounts to be setup correctly and for him to play on his managed, child account. He has earned and purchased many cosmetics and achievements that he doesn’t want to lose by switching to using his child account instead of mine. Is there a way to make his child account my parent account and my parent account his managed, child account? I don’t play, I only have an account so that he can play since he’s only 11. Thanks for any help!
Hey @cr_all, We were in the neighborhood and saw that you had some questions about parent-managed accounts and how to change an adult to a child account. Firstly, we see that you mentioned that your child has purchased in-game cosmetics and doesn't want to lose them. Child accounts do not have the ability to make in-game purchases, so switching your account to a child's account will result in the loss of cosmetics as well. You can find out more information on child accounts here. Keep in mind that your child will not lose the cosmetics permanently, just until they reach the age of 13 and can have their account converted into a regular account.
