Hi there!
I am not in public beta.
I am a bit confused right now. I am on:
1.20.0.474906 (1.20.0.501061) after having already been on 1.21.0 on Nov 22, which has been downgraded again automatically just a couple of days later.
Now ocassionally upon launching the client, I get the red-alert message "New drivers are required to use your Oculus. Update now."
In fact just now was the second time I got this message.
Since I didnt really trust this message, I just closed the client and restarted the PC and -voila- message is gone.
Had it persisted after reboot, I had taken it for granted and clicked on "update now".
But it seems, in fact there are no new drivers "required" to use Oculus - since after reboot the message is gone and everything seems to work.
Whats the matter with that? As said before, that was only the second time in 25 days (since I am on said software version) this message has appeared.
If it appears next time - should I ignore it and get rid of it by restarting the PC or should I click on "update now"?
Is currently really a pending update out? If so, why doesnt the message persist after reboot and appears constantly and every time the client is started?
Thanks in advance.

LOL, this really has to be the most responsive support forum of the world, huh?
However, when this message recently appeared again, I clicked "update now" and let it update the drivers as recommended. It was very quick and restarted Oculus Home. Everything still works as it did before.
Then a day or two later - the message appeared again: "New drivers are required to use your Oculus" .... I let it update again and again I suspect it did nothing.
The message vanishes upon restart no matter if it restarts as part of the "update sequence" or restarted manually. Only to appear again a few days later.
As I suspected from the beginning this update message is a bug. Luckily following this false update advice didnt break anything.
Once again very well done Oculus. And once again a great responsitivity here from support.
You really cant comment on this stuff? You really dont know if there is a driver update pending or not?
Ok - just take this as an bug report then:
Your software periodically asks for driver updates even if the drivers are already up do date, hence the update does nothing. I already observed this in one of the very early software versions, but only once, maybe twice. Also ignored the warning back then by just restarting the PC. But it never happened ever since until recently.
Greets!
