Hi,
Hoping someone can answer my question below as currently frustrated with new device.
New Meta Quest 3s is stuck on 'applying software update'. Have tried factory reset on the headset (the headset has not yet registered with the app on my phone so cannot factory reset from my phone).
Following factory reset, the headset just goes back into the same applying software update loop but does not progress.
Is there a solution to this or do I just return the new headset for a refund?

Update 12/6 3:36 pm PST: Thanks everyone for bringing this to our attention. Our teams have resolved the issue. You should now be able to setup your headset as normal. Leaving the original message in case anyone still needs help.

Same here. Terrible first impression of the device. No advise I can find helps.

Agree! - First impressions are not good, hence considering just boxing it up and returning. Unfortunately, it was to be a Christmas gift so would prefer to solve issue if possible......

Been struggling with this same problem since last night. Left it on all night and now this morning it's still having the same issue.

Sounds like a common problem. You would think the tech team could come up with a fix!

I'm getting reports of this issue on one of my videos. Running the update tool fixes it.

just bought the 3s headset, and I thought I was just unlucky.

Tried this and it's still has the same problem. The windows on the computer says "Opps ran into a snag" every single time it reaches 99 and 100% download.
