New Quest 3 - questions

Hey, just got the quest 3 (first VR experience for me) and I love it. I have the following questions or comments I want to document: 

 

1. YouTube 360 videos are terrible quality 

2. Is there a way to extend battery length? I guess it lasts around 2 hours with continued usage? 
3. I was playing poker and then got a WhatsApp notification…suddenly no one could hear me and I could not hear anyone. Glitch? 
4. Are third party headsets really worth it?

  1. Does this happen with all the videos on YouTube 360? Has this been happening since you got the headset, or is it a new thing?
  2. There is a way to extend battery life, we have Meta Quest 3 Elite strap with a battery! Currently, they are not being sold, but we will have them back in the future. For now, you can click the "notify me" button, so that when they are back in stock, you can grab yourself one!
  3. We would suggest that to fix this, try Restarting your Headset. We have linked an article that you can go to! If this doesn't solve this issue, please do not hesitate to reach back out. We always want to make sure our customers get the service and the product that they deserve.

Hi,

 

1.  This happens with all YouTube 360 videos on the YouTube app. It works on the browser. Obviously I would prefer to use the app and experience no problems. Hope it gets fixed. If it is a hardware issue it should be fixed under warranty. 
3. I shouldn’t have to restart at every issue. Is there a way to know if it’s hardware or software? I appreciate your time and help though! Really good response time and customer care.

 

I did reach out on WhatsApp but no one responded.

Hey there again @michaelsc0tt! So glad you were able to respond! We understand the frustration with having to restart/hard reboot, but sometimes that's the thing that fixes your issue! Rebooting is frequently a very good and effective approach to fix problems with both hardware and software; nevertheless, it's not always obvious if the problem is with the components or the program.
