I just did the latest update for my Meta Quest 2 (v57), yay I have legs!!
Booo!! the software is broken...
When I'm in my Oculus Home, my thumbsticks are inoperative... whenever I move them around they don't respond... at first I moved over to my Avatar window, and then when I tried to move back, it wouldn't give me a teleport circle... just red "Xs" everywhere... so I restarted... and the second time around, I was able to move, but only every now and then as the thumbsticks don't operate consistently... my avatar finger show my moving the sticks, but I'm not getting any teleport lines and half the time I move the sticks I can't even turn... my controller batteries are at 60% so that's not the problem... the update seems to have broken the functioning of my headset... let alone the fact that when I try to connect to my PC, I just get a black screen with my guardian circle on the bottom... no Rift/Oculus Home.. I was going to preorder the Quest 3, but if they can't even fix the Quest 2 properly, I'm not going to bother

Ok... so it looks like the controllers actually DO work, but only when I have my arm stretched straight out in front of me.... if I rest my elbows on my chair (with the controllers in full sight of the headset) and try to move, they become sporadic... I literally have to hold my arm straight out in front of my to move anywhere now... this is ridiculous!
Meta.. please fix!!

Hello there, @Darcsyde. Thank you for reaching out. It looks like you're having some tracking issues. We know this is not an optimal experience, so we want to extend a helping hand and get you gaming again as quickly as possible!
First, if you haven't already, let's try resetting your controllers. If you could, please follow the instructions below:
You'll also want to check and clear your guardian history. Please let us know if you notice any improvement.

So.. come to find out... the menu bar at the bottom of the screen was blocking my controller inputs... once I moved the menu up and/or out of the way, I was able to move freely and all my controller inputs were fine... something's wrong with that... I didn't have to move my menu out of the way before the update... something to do with the new touch interface maybe?... see video

Thank you for getting back to us with that update, @Darcsyde! It appears that the space above the bar - even if any menu is minimized - will not allow interaction with the environment. You can "see" this in that, the 'tail' streaming from the controller (the 'pointer') will have a circle at its end. When you move the pointer to the left or right beyond this 'reserved' visual real estate, the circle will disappear, and you will be able to interact with the environment (left/right joystick moves will rotate the view). This is something that is unchangeable at the moment. We hope this helps to answer your questions! Feel free to reach back out to us if you happen to have any further questions or concerns as we are always happy to help!
