New Vr Air Bridge (D-Link) does not connect to Internet

RealJJ22

Hello. First time poster here. I ordered the new Vr Air Bridge this week.

https://www.meta.com/quest/accessories/d-link-vr-air-bridge/

I just connected it for the first time and followed the setup instructions. My PC detects it and I can effortlessly connect from my headset. Everything seems to be in order. Once using the head setup though, it shows that I have no Internet connection. Should it not be utilizing my PCs Internet connection? Any ideas on how to correct this problem?

Thanks.

Hey, I would just like to say what I personally noticed on the topic. My air bridge worked the first try easily, the setup was almost too easy, the only problem was that there was no internet access. I thought it would be a simple fix as many have posted how to share internet from my wireless connection. As soon as I did this, it seems like it bricked up my air bridge. After many headaches, I tried using it through a wired connection. It seemed to have been not bricked through wired though. I tried to share the connection and it bricked up again. To me it seemed like they intentionally brick up when you try sharing internet access through it, as of recently. The solution I found that worked to seemingly, un-brick the device, was to perform a network reset found at the bottom of the windows connection settings. This allowed the device to become functional for both wired and wireless connections and I have not tried to share the internet since.

Just got the D-Link. Is the blue light supposed to stay on all the time or just flash once in a while?

Hey DASFREAK, that's a great question! A flashing blue light indicated a functioning D-link device and this is normal.

Hey I followed the directions the first time though and got it to work when I had my old desk. Now with my new desk due to unplugging the device it will not connect through to having internet access this is after updating both the Quest 2 and the Oculus PC Software. I even reset the device back to factory settings to see if that was the problem, and still no internet connection. My Quest 2 will not even stay connected to the VR Air Bridge it keeps kicking it back to my wifi. What seems to be the issue??

Same here as it worked fine on older pc then on my new build I could not ever get to to connect again no matter what. I fooled with it for days and finally just threw the POS in the trash and bought a goddamn link cable. PCVR gaming is such a pain in the ass and you never know when something will screw up and cost you even more money and/or aggravation.
