After updating my controllers today (04/10/2024), for my Ocuclus Quest 3, my controllers are acting weirdly. They will both randomly sleep out of nowhere, quiet frequently, and it is interfering with gameplay to the point of aggravation.
This is a new issue I've never had before the update. It started only hours after the update. I thought it was my headset battery being low, but after a full charge the problem was still happening. It happens with eather controller not moving for a second, regardless of pressing buttons, and will happen anywhere from 30 seconds or a minute or two.
The issue is in games and in the main screen. Basically all the time.

I found the solution! So, the updates on the controllers went through, but never was I notified that I should properly power off the headset to complete the updates. Updates that may have included the headset updates as well?
One suggestion to all that are having similar weird hiccups is to properly shut down the headset for a while.
By pressing the power button I was prompted with the menu with the "Power Off" button. When I pressed it, the panel changed. It said it was Updating, and the headset would power off once the updates were finished. (it has been days since I installed those updates). So, it reminds me of pretty much any device, that should require a proper restart or power off to finalize those updates.
It was clear that everything was fixed once I powered it up again. I saw new clarity in the passthrough, and my controllers looked like better rendered models, and moved smoother. After playing for a hour, I didn't have any issues.
Hopes this helps others.

The play area has not changed. I just did a new room scale setup to see if that would help. It didn't.
I have not tried different play spaces. My condo is my only space.
No third party anything.
The issue is with both controllers, seemingly sleeping after 15 seconds or longer at random, not at the same time. Happens in the os menus, and in games.
The issue starts as soon as I put on the headset.
Tried calibrating them but that did not change anything.
I still believe that this is issue is from the newest controller update, as the issues began the day I updated them.
