No Sound in HomeScreens

Hey Meta Community,

My baby bro and I share the family oculus, apparently there was an update or something because when I used it more often a year ago there was sound in the home screen. Specifically the Desert and Spaceship ones were my face and I would meditate in there just for that. Listening and watching the virtual world. But without sound it's a lot less immersive and meditation is one of the only things I use the oculus for. Please let me know if there is a way to fix this.

Hey there, @katiesu7! Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We understand how this issue disrupted your meditation, so we would love to look into this for you in order to get you back to a smooth VR experience. We would like to start off by trying the following, listed below:

 

  • Ensure the volume is not muted or turned down too low.
  • Try headphones to see if there is audio.
  • Test with multiple games or apps.
  • Reboot the headset. 
  • Factory reset your headset. Please ensure you have cloud backup enabled before performing a factory reset.
