It’s been 3 days since V55 is released for Quest 2, but I am not getting any update.
Tried 100% charging, doesn’t works actually.
My current version is V54. And I never encountered such problem previously.

Hi! Quick update, I did see that Ryanality left a comment in Meta Quest v55 Release Notes that says the update should now be available to all users! Make sure you check for the update by following these steps:
Happy gaming!

Hi rish0264... Don't worry. You are not alone. Firmware are pushed in a mistirious way by Meta. I remenber I waited almost a month to get update v50. just be a little pation and it will update. I'm also waiting for this update and still on V54 (But I'm used to wait).

If you are really desperate to get it, I believe factory reset will force the issue.

You’re not alone
not showing for me either, don’t want to do factory reset as I don’t fancy losing game saves

A factory reset won't force the update. Stop pushing bad information. The update rolls out based on server capacity and region. It can take up to 3 weeks for the update to completely roll out. The best time to try is an off hour like 11 pm to 3 am. But I can't guarantee you get it. Also they do it in waves Incase there are bugs and they need to roll something back.
Alternative you can find a zip file of the 55 firmware and do a manual install from the boot menu.

@PITTCANNA is right.
I'm from Germany and I always get firmware updates weeks after a friend in US.
Just be patient and wait a little longer.

In my experience a factory reset always triggers an OS update (if there is one available) after the initial setup. Maybe I've just been extremely fortunate though.
I love the theory that bugs would make Meta stop or roll back an update though. Has that ever happened?

Yes it has back in v25. But a factory reset never triggers an update. It may seem like it if your region gets it at the same time you did it. But there is no reason to factory reset unless something is wrong with the firmware that a hard reset wouldn't correct. It's bad information.

Hey everyone! We get how concerning it can be when you are waiting for an important update and it is not showing up on your headset just yet. Like @PITTCANNA mentioned, performing a factory reset will not trigger an update and we'd recommend continuing to be patient as this new update is rolling out in waves and will be available to everyone soon! We appreciate your infinite patience and hope this has eased everyone's worries a little. Please let us know if you happen to have any further questions or concerns as we are always happy to help!
