Has anyone experienced any issues with Elite Dangerous through the Oculus Store? When I launch the game and get to the main menu, no controls work, no mouse, no keyboard, no controller, nothing. The game is 100% unplayable. If anyone has any ideas, please throw them this way! Have a good one!
Try left clicking your mouse in the active window on your desktop. Unless the mirror window on the desktop is your active window, none of the controls will be recognized.

I had the exact same problem last night, until I discovered my keyboard arrow keys could actually move the menu. After that, I was able to change enough bindings to be able to continue with just my X52. Do your arrow keys work?
Apparently the Oculus install doesn't use the same bindings file as the steam install. Annoying.
In my opinion, an Oculus game should run like one. This is NOT an Oculus game. It is a screwed up remake of a pc game. I had to take my rift off to register. I had to take it off again to sign in. I had to take it off again to enter my player name. I had to take it off again to enter a ship name. Then when I finally got all of that done, the controls did not work at all. Now, I realize there are all sort of gymnastics (as mentioned above) that one can do to make this a playable game. But come on! Why no pop up keyboard? Why not write the program to be prepared for the controllers? My only hope is that someone will write a patch to fix all of this crap. In the meantime I will just play other games.
It's a long time bug that often the Window can loose focus and switch to Desktop. Of course this only happens in combat due to "Sod's Law" - the bastard! ALT-TAB to regain focus 😉
But do let the devs know of this annoying problem in their support forum. I've written a number of posts to the devs, and because I don't turn on my monitor, I also get no controls in Elite. They often forget to support Rift audio mirroring too. Personally I've given up on this game, but I keep it updated - maybe after the next patch everything will be fine 😄
