With the new "Windows App" and the push towards using the Quest for work, I hope we can finally get a bigger list of supported keyboard layouts for physical keyboards.
I recently got a Bluetooth keyboard in part for this use case, and I'm quite disappointed that its QWERTZ layout cannot be used with the Quest 3. I'm posting here both to ask if there's some sort of workaround I might have missed, and as a reminder that if Meta wants the Quest to be taken seriously for non-gaming apps, then supporting non-US keyboard layouts should be a high priority.
My keyboard isn't one of the "tracked" ones, but I assume that if I got one of those with a non-US layout, it wouldn't work either. Regardless, I already have a keyboard that works perfectly fine on all other devices, so I won't be buying any of those anyway.
It's very much needed to add the non-US phisical layouts.
At least allow the user to download the language packs for different regions or layouts (example: US International).
I can only find English (US) in different distributions, but none of them are even close to what I need.
I'm using the Quest 3 for work purposes, and this forces me to carry my laptop everywhere with the headset instead of the headset, a BT keyboard and mouse.
It's not a big feature to add, but it would add plenty of value to the headset and the OS.
