Was trying to add a secondary account to a Meta Quest 3 for someone else, and after going through account setup, it directs me to auth.meta.com/device to complete account setup.
Upon going to auth.meta.com/device, it prompts me for a code that it says should be displayed on the headset.
The headset displays no such code. It's just stuck on the windo directing me to auth.meta.com/device. The only way to get out of that window is to put the device in sleep mode or power it down, and sign into the primary account. Any time I try to access the secondary account, it gets stuck on the same screen. No buttons on the controllers do anything to exit that screen, there's no popup i can get to come up with the code, nothing.

Hey everyone! We got word from the team that this issue may have been caused due to being logged into the incorrect account when receiving the code. Make sure you're going through the steps listed in the article HERE, when logged into the primary account.
Also, you may want to make sure that you're not singed into the secondary account you created when visiting www.meta.com/device. A good way to tell if you're not signed into the wrong account would be to access www.meta.com/device through an incognito tab so you're forced to sign in again incase your secondary Meta account is being automatically signed in.

So it looks like there are a few users noting a possible workaround for this issue.
I saw that @user_945811075735154 and @darrenG28 mentioned writing down the device code from the headset, then make sure the headset is off of your head and use a computer to go to auth.meta.com/device.

So just trying to pre-setup the new headset (Quest 3) ahead of its unboxing on xmas day......
trying to add my sons junior account (managed through family centre)
It displays a message on the headset, that just won`t disappear after i`ve completed all it asks.
the message says: "Finish setup on another device" "Go to auth.meta.com/device and log in to review important information etc... etc...."
just won't let me past this point.... ????

I have the same issue. Added second account to Queat 3, and stuck on Finish setup on another device. Please help.

I've seem to have fixed the issue I was having....
I think what I was doing wrong was leaving the headset on me, instead of removing it whilst I was doing the laptop part of the setup.
When I removed the headset, it went into standby this time. Once I finished the laptop part of the setup & closed the final browser window, I put the headset back on it woke up and then progressed to the next step.
I think the allowing the headset to sleep during 'computer/phone' part of adding other users, was the key to my issue.

I've got the same problem. Added my own account no problem, added my son's as I'm getting it ready for xmas day for him, but can't get past the "continue on another device" message ... already entered a device code once but won't now show one and keeps requesting one when logging in on the laptop... what the ... Meta - we all need help here. Seems to be a very common problem and I can't give this to my son on xmas day not working!

In your headset browser, go to meta.com/device. Next, login and attempt the setup to receive the code. After trying the pairing code at meta.com/device, ignore it when it asks for another code, turn off your headset, and use the mobile app on your smart phone.

I am currently having the same issue, and your solution did not solve it. Anyone else have suggestions? I have done a factory reset. Removed the account and added again, each time getting stuck on the screen of finish setup on another device as explained above.

I’ve had the exact same problem too. That suggestion from meta quest support didn’t solve anything. I still cannot access my second account on quest 3. When I log in I am still stuck with the floating window displaying a message on the headset, "Finish setup on another device" "Go to auth.meta.com/device and log in to review important information etc.."
