Nothing on my Quest 2 will load and none of my apps will appear.

This issue started a few days ago when I was trying to open my social app and nothing would show up, my friends list wouldn't show and every time I clicked on something like my Messenger messages it would throw an error message or close. A few days after this started happening, after turning on my Oculus I found that my games and apps wouldn't show up (with the exception of a few default apps such as settings, introduction to hand tracking, and so on). This has happened before and previously had not posed an issue as it reverted back to normal within minutes. This time has been different. After toying around (starting apps and then closing them, restarting the oculus, etc.) to try and find a solution it just got worse. Now I can't even see the few default apps that had shown up before and whenever I try to open my library I am met with a loading circle. I can no longer view my profile. On top of that my store app meets me with the same error screen as the social app does. The only thing that partially works is my explore page, and even that doesn't really work. If I try to click on something like a friends profile, open a game, or click on anything through there it throws an error. I have tried updating the my Oculus, I have restarted it multiple times, and have even tried looking for solutions from people who have had a similar problem with no avail. Can anyone tell me what is happening and how I can fix it?

Hey Fryderj, thank you so much for providing all of that detail so that we can understand what all is happening on your end. This definitely isn't the ideal VR experience, but we're here to help fix that!

 

We have a few troubleshooting steps for you to try here that work for most issues like this:

  • Turn your headset off.
  • Log out of the Facebook account on your mobile phone, and then log back in.
  • Log out of the Meta Quest application on your mobile phone, and then log back in.
  • Turn your headset on and check that it's paired to your mobile app.
  • Give it a few minutes to sync, and everything should show back up in your headset!

A Factory Reset did the trick

I have the same problem and I am thinking about factory resetting but do I lose all game progress.
