Nvidia RTX 3050 Ti graphics card not supported with Oculus Link?

So, like many other people (I've noticed), I have a MSI Katana i7-11800H Nvidia GEFORCE RTX 3050Ti laptop. I've tried every suggestion that I've seen; restarting both the laptop and the Quest 2, disabling the integrated graphics card, updating everything, so on. The only thing I've fixed is the error that said "there's a pending hardware issue". I cannot get the "your graphics card is not compatible with the Rift system requirements" message to go away. Everything, for the most part, works. It brings me to the Rift version of the menu when I click enable link instead of staying at the quest menu, and I can run the tutorial app for the Rift just fine. But it won't let me run any other apps. I downloaded VRChat to test it, and it said that it couldn't run it. I'm honestly at a loss for what's going on, and hoping that an actual solution can be brought forth, cause this is making me mad.

Just it is the way it is I guess.  Maybe next time do a bit of googling beforehand and see if your laptop specs work well or not.  In the meantime, just enjoy Q2 standalone mobile VR.

Hey there AgentCrimzon, thanks for reaching out. The RTX 3050 Ti isn't quite supported by the Oculus software just yet. As it is still a newer card, it will take time for support to be implemented. Please do note that Oculus and Nvidia are already in discussions and working together to create support for your card! We don't have any info on when this will happen, but keep your eyes peeled to our socials and blogs and we'll be sure to let the community know as soon as it happens!

Just the way it is?

Some of us are heavily invested in our steam and oculus pc games mate.

The current gpu's in most gaming laptops are capable of running vr, my index works perfectly fine through steam on my laptop. The problem is that just because a certain gpu isn't on the list the software is now locked down.

It wouldn't be so bad if we could port the games we have already paid for, having to pay for them all over again is a bit **bleep** - a bit like your reply.

"The RTX 3050 Ti isn't quite supported by the Oculus software just yet. As it is still a newer card, it will take time for support to be implemented" - Yet on your own compatibility page you say "all" RTX30 series GPU's are?

And after the latest update, instead of just having a slightly annoying banner telling us our card is not supported, you now lock us out of the software and steam at the same time.

I, like a lot of people complaining about this bought headsets or laptops thinking we were in spec.

Yes we can still use the mobile version but then we have to re purchase all the games again.. or is that the plan?

I had this with the CV1 and original quest, but knowing the GPU was capable (well over spec) could at least still play Pc based Oculus games and steam. Seriously, no wonder Facebook/Meta gets hate!

PLEASE UPDATE ASAP!

any idea when this will be fixed
