I'm trying to play Budget Cuts on my Oculus Quest 2, but I can't set up my Oculus account due to the aforementioned error. Everything I've found on this error, dating from 2017 to 2021, has mentioned that it's caused by a missing registry value in HKEY_CURRENT_USER. I have gotten to the point where I have the "Oculus VR" key set up, but I can't figure anything else out.
You haven't posted links to the fix you've found but from a quick Google it looks like you need to create the "Oculus VR, LLC" key and a couple of keys subsequent keys inside that one. Have you done that?
