Oculus 2 black start up

When I start up my vr it often doesn't work. It'll have the regular boot up of the meta logo spinning then after that, pitch black. I can't do anything, can't open settings or anything, I keep having to turn it off and back on, with everyday passing it gets worse. It takes typically 7+ restarts to get it to work.

This sounds like a frustrating issue, but rest assured, we will work with you to find a solution.

Please follow these steps below:
 

  1. Remove any unsupported third-party accessories that may affect boot (such as external battery packs, accessories that plug into the USB-C port, etc.)
  2. Ensure that the sensor is clean and free of grease/debris.
  3. Hard Reboot the headset
    1. Hold down the power button and volume down button for 30 seconds until you hear the boot-up sound
    2. If the boot-up sound is not heard:
      1. Hold the power and volume (-) button down simultaneously until the boot screen loads on your headset.
      2. Use the volume buttons on your headset to highlight "Boot Device" and press the power button.
      3. Use the volume buttons on your headset to highlight Yes and press the power button.
