Oculus Apps Close after ~17seconds if not installed under C:

Hey,

This is a weird one. I suspect something is crashing but I guess there is no crash reporter?

Any Oculus app I open from the SDK (tried 2.5 and 2.5c):
- Oculus Configuration Utility
- Oculus World Demo

Repro:
1: Install SDK anywhere other than C:\
1: Open App
2: Wait for ~17 seconds
3: App closes (often the EXE is also then missing [assumed deleted])

Workaround:
Install SDK only under C:\OculusSDK

Update: So installing it under C:\OculusSDK only got the Configuration Utility to work. The Tuscany Demo still crashes out after a little while (1-2mins).

Could it be an anti-virus program run amok on your computer? Or malware?

Are you sure your Rift isn't actually a message from the 'Impossible Mission Force'? Those usually self-destruct after only 5 second though.

Sounds like it could be an anti-virus issue. I recall this problem was happening with Avast! and Unity demos, but I believe that particular issue was fixed (though maybe you are running an old version?). Especially if the EXE becomes missing, this would indicate there is software on your computer which is deleting it (ie Comodo, etc.).
