Oculus Home locking GPU clocks to 501Mhz on Radeon 7970 1GHz.

I have a Radeon 7970 @ 1GHz defaults. Launching Oculus Home, the GPU clock pings 1000Mhz (the default 3D gaming clockrate), then drops to 501Mhz. This could be fine to save power, but here's a problem. I launch something pretty intensive, say, FurMark 1.17, and the clocks are still stuck on 501Mhz, with performance to match (slow). I do nothing else, but quit Oculus Home, and the GPU clock speed is set to 1000Mhz immediately. Launch Oculus Home WHILE a 3D app is running, and the clock speed drops back down to 501Mhz.

FurMark will torch graphics cards all by itself, so it's definitely not a hardware thermal throttling issue, as it's not even warm yet. Unforutnately, killing oculus home kills all VR apps using the Oculus integration too. (although I manged to get it to stay at 1GHz once, this is a rather large VR killing bug. Anyone else see this? Latest AMD drivers, but older ones have the same problem as well.

- Launch Oculus Home, Let it load the VR Environment in the HMD
- Unplug HMD USB, Count to 2, Plug it back in.
- Clocks Will Shuffle a few times before settling on FULL 3D Clocks
- VR Envirnment will reload.

I have to do it everytime, other wise I'm stuck at 501MHz w/ Ghosting and Blurred Movement, making a profile didnt help.

That's a fantastic workaround! I'll keep testing....

So, where do I report this bug so it can be fixed in the future?

I filed a bug report for this. Can you also upload this log file?

is there a way I can clean my logs and re-do them fresh for this issue? I have SEVERAL Huge Log files from when I was testing/experimenting with different adapters.

Logs.

Seems to have gotten worse w/ 1.4

I Power Cycle, it goes to full clocks, and randomly drops back down to 501 MHz mid-gaming or when closing an app.

Any Official Remark regarding this?

Seems to be ALOT more widespread than it was before.
Affecting more People/Users etc, I get Facebook messages from at least 2 dozen people asking if I've found a solution yet.

I Even made a AMD App Profile for Oculus Software to run Full Speed to no effect. (OculusClient.exe)(Maybe I should make the Profile for OculusVR.exe)

Im Guessing I Need to Make a APP Profile for the Actual Home EXE when it's running.?

I am interested in an official response as well, even if it's just "we're investigating". The 7970/280x is still pretty remarkable in performance given that it was still sold recently, and fully supported by current drivers as well.
