So my friend invited me to a party, I joined it. Then I try to go to party chat and it doesn’t work. So I close the game I’m in, still doesn’t work. Then I restart my Oculus, join the party, and by default I’m set to app chat even with nothing open and when I click on party chat it switches for like half a second but them goes right back to app. Can’t mute either, just goes back to app chat. Can anyone help?

Being able to communicate with your friends in party chat is very important, so we definitely want to make sure we get this fixed up and get you back to playing with your friends again! So we want to make sure the steps you are following to call are the ones listed in our help guide here. This should allow things to connect properly, however if you continue to run into this situation, we would like you to submit a bug report so that the developers can look into this.

I would recommend shutting your headset down, putting your headset on charge for an hour, sign out of your mobile app and don't sign back in until you have waited the hour and turned your headset back on. I like to recommend this step first before completing a factory reset to hopefully save anyone the hassle! If you still can't get your party chat to work properly after charging, signing out and back into your mobile app, then I would factory reset your headset to see if that'll work. Other than that, I'd recommend to contact the support agents through the Contact Us support page!

Tried all of this including contacting customer service. They sent me a new headset and it still doesn’t work. Bought a new one for my hubby for Christmas and it had the same problem. I believe it’s got something to do with internet service or a firewall??!! Take it somewhere besides my house and it works fine. I am not tech savvy enough to fix this.
