I pulled out my Oculus Quest 2 for Christmas to play with my nephews. After one hour of playing, I went ahead and accepted the software update that was available.
After the update was applied, it got stuck in a reboot loop. After following Meta's recommendation, I did a factory reset, and now the headset is completely bricked. No lights or LCD are turning on. I have tried five different adapters (all working fine to charge my phone) and holding the power button for 45 seconds without avail.
This is completely unacceptable behavior by Meta. I want my headset fixed. Meta has deliberately bricked them.

Same happened to my autistic son. He was given an oculus 2 brand new still wrapped ( was purchased a year ago but not opened) accepted the update. Update cycled and now the oculus is completely dead. No lights when charging, black screen. Tried factory reset.... can't get the Svenska to do anything but stay black. Called for support and was told we are out of luck and that they won't fix or replace the headset even though they can see it hadn't been registered even. I asked to speak to a supervisor and the person helping said that he isn't allowed to let anyone speak to a supervisor. Terrible customer service.

Another update doesn't seem to be an option... the headset won't even turn on. It does absolutely nothing.

I don't know how to solve this problem since the headset won't open. I have the same problem with a new Meta Quest 2 (witch is absolutelly new - just opened box) and I don't see any solution other than recalling in the factory to rewrite the firmware. I made this update a few days ago, but I think there will be many in the same situation.
