So my wife and I both have oculus accounts, one for a Rift and one for a Quest 2. We have both users logged into the Quest 2 successfully using the new multi-user feature. However, there's a couple issues with casting.
#1 - When my wife's account (the admin) is logged into the Quest 2, we can successfully cast to the Oculus App on a phone **only if it is logged in as her account**. Ideally we could also cast to a phone logged in as my account. Is this possible?
#2 - When my account (non-admin) is logged into the Quest 2, it appears that casting doesn't work at all. No devices show up at all (not even "Share with computer") when going to the Share -> Cast option in Quest 2. Is this a purposeful limitation of multi-user on the same device?

It appears that the restriction is that you cannot cast TO THE APP as a secondary user. You can cast to a Chromecast as a secondary user, and it looks like you can cast to a computer as a secondary user (logged into Oculus as that user).
It appears that you must initiate casting from the headset, not from the app.
But so far I haven’t been able to cast to an app or initiate casting from an app, when the headset is set to a secondary user. Still better than nothing.

Yes this is my NUMBER 1 most needed addon. I can not help my wife, who's new to oculus, because I can't cast her account. You should be able to cast any account, not just the admin account. If it's linked to your headset, you should be able to cast it. This way people can help others, especially when they are unfamiliar with what to do.

This works for a secondary account with a Google Chrome Cast. You use the headset instead of the app. You can cast from the headset to a TV that supports casting (such as a smart TV or a TV with a Chromecast installed).
1. Turn on the TV and the Quest 2.
2. Make sure both devices are on the same WiFi network.
3. Press the Oculus button on the right-hand controller so you can see the home menu under the Apps window.
4. Click the Share button in the bottom-right corner.
5. In the Sharing window, click Cast.
6. In the Cast From This Headset pop-up, find your TV or other casting device and click it.
7. Click Next.
You should now be casting the headset's video to your TV.

Agreed, even if it is simply to a phone with the Oculus app in that name.
I anm not even allowed to connect the "subaccount" I created for my kids to the device.
