Before I get into detail let me explain my specs. I have a Ryzen 7 5800XT and a Radeon RX 7600XT (16GB), and 32GB of memory. Now my old setup used to be a Ryzen 7 2700X and a RTX 2060S and I used to play VR games perfectly at 90hz. Beat saber, BeamNG.Drive, you name it. But now with my current setup which is a lot more powerful then my old setup. I have issues play even the simplest games like Beat Saber.
The issue that I run into is that when I play a game and launch it. My game will run ay 72FPS (my chosen refresh rate) and while im getting ready to get into the game ill load into the game and once I load in, my FPS drops to 36FPS and no matter what settings I change in game or in the resolution, nothing helps make my performance go up.
The truly unfortunate part is I bought a lot of VR games when I got the quest 2 and the fact I can't play any of them with actually enjoyment is truly disappointing. If anyone has an idea on how to fix this issue please let me know because at this point I'm starting to think it's just Oculus Link's software or something like that because a lot of people had the same issues and had to use Virtual Desktop to fix it. only issue is I don't have the internet to use Virtual Desktop so that option is out the window
PS The FPS cap happens on both Oculus games and with SteamVR so I truly and at a lost for words and out of options when it comes to what to do in this situation
