Hi,
I have an Oculus Quest 2 that I haven't used for a few months, and now it won't turn on. I charged it overnight and tried all the methods I found on YouTube and here to power it on in this situation. When I plug it into the charger, the light flashes red once every 30 seconds.
I'm desperate and would really appreciate any help.

@Roey987 Quest headsets are based on mobile phone technology, so you wouldn't leave your phone for several months without charging and then expect the battery to be fine.
If lipo batteries go below a certain charge state, the charge protection circuit will stop the battery charging after a couple of seconds.
If you repeatedly apply power to the headset by plugging and unplugging the headset charger to the mains supply, or if you have a switched mains wall socket and keep switching the charger on and off , this can push a small charge into battery in the two second window of time before the charge protection circuit stops the power.
After a while it's possible to get the charge above the minimum charge state and charge protection circuit allows charging as normal.

How long should I do this?
If this doesn’t work, is there another method to try? Or does it need to be sent for repair and a battery replacement?

@Roey987 it could take a while as you're only putting a really tiny blip of charge into the battery every time you apply power, and we have no idea how flat the battery is. There are companies like Fix My Oculus that do repairs but it depends on where you live. There may be other headset fixers in your country.

FixMyOculus is having a sale at the moment on their battery replacement service. See their website for details.
They also sell replacement batteries for DIY repairs if you have the tools and skills for that.
