Oculus Quest 3 overheated charging port

My son received an OQ3 as a Christmas present last year. He's come to me today, and as you can see from the photo below the charging port has clearly overheated. Whilst I can search in this forum and see many people talking about heat/charging issues, I would like to know how to proceed with this issue. 

Could someone from support please advise on how to proceed please?
