Oculus Quest won't connect to my PC via airlink

Kosta9999

I tried to connect my Oculus Quest to my PC via AirLink, how I normally did in the past, but now my PC shows up in my headsed, but after pressing the blue button "Pair" it turns to a non-clickable dark-blue  button "Launch", and absolutely nothing happens.jyw6d0P6Ji8.jpgP4V6NZ6TApE.jpg

Tried to connect it via the cable, it worked, but I don't want to play with a cable.

I tried those metods:

  • Reboot PC and headset
  • Update graphic card's drivers
  • Uninstall and install the Oculus app on my PC
  • Factory reset of the headsed (power button + volume-)
  • Restart my Wi-Fi router
  • Update headset's software to the latest version (system version 49845030311700410)
  • Reinstall the Link driver on my computer (c:\Program Files\Oculus\Support\oculus-drivers\oculus-driver.exe)

My headset is connected to a 5Ghz Wi-Fi, AirLink worked fine some months ago, but now it doesn't work.

I have the exact same issues as many many others have. Something happened in the recent update they came out with! Seeing that you tried al those things and it still not works, makes me NOT wanna do a reset of the headset.. So Meta/Oculus please fix this, because so many users have this problem and you sitting here being surprised about it is either because you don´t care or you just don´t listen to your customers. I don´t believe that no one reported this as I see countless posts about it!

Hello, for me the solution was:

  1. Uninstall the Oculus PC app using the Control Panel
  2. Delete all Oculus folders from the following folder:
    • C:\Program Files
  3. Remove any Oculus folders from the following locations:
    • C:\Users\YourUserProfile\AppData
    • C:\Users\YourUserProfile\AppData\Local
    • C:\Users\YourUserProfile\AppData\LocalLow
    • C:\Users\YourUserProfile\AppData\Roaming
    • C:\OculusSetup-DownloadCache
  4. Install the Oculus PC app again using the setup tool from our website here

This thing worked for me, try that.

Howdy @Johnni9999, we see you are needing assistance with your headset and Air link. Being able to play on the headset and explore the world of PCVR can be an amazing experience. We know how important being able to have access to Air Link is, and we would love to help you out on this matter!

We are currently looking into this the Air Link button greying out, but in the meantime, can we provide you some troubleshooting to help with this?

Let's try a hard reboot to help the headset get out any kinks it may have with the UI.

  1. Turn off your headset completely.
  2. Hold the power and volume (-) button on your headset down simultaneously until the boot screen loads on your headset.
  3. Use the volume buttons on your headset to highlight Boot Device and press the power button.
  4. Use the volume buttons on your headset to highlight Yes and press the power button.

Last resort would be to do a factory reset with the Cloud Backup enabled, this way all of your saved data can be stored online for you to access.

  1. First, turn on your Cloud Backup to save your app data and game progresses.
  2. Then, turn off your headset completely (hold the power button).
  3. Hold the power and volume (-) button on your headset down simultaneously until the boot screen loads on your headset.
  4. Use the volume buttons on your headset to highlight Factory Reset and press the power button.
  5. Use the volume buttons on your headset to highlight Yes and press the power button.

If the no changes occur, please let us know.
