I dont really get it. I bought my Touch Controllers and my Rift two months ago and I wont get the 50$ refund. But when you bought your Touch Controllers within the last 30 days you get it and on top of that you could return your Touch Controllers and get the new Price for the Item. If you do so you literally save 150$ (50$ for The Refund and 100$ for the Price drop) and all the other people before that dont get anything. Where is the logic? I mean Oculus could at least give the people the 50$ who bought it before the last 30days.

what procedure should I do to activate the controller?
I don't know about you guys, but the hours I've spent in VR for the past few months (I basically haven't played a monitor game since I got my rift) are worth the extra 200 I spent when I bought it. Just like any technology, the price goes down after a while -- that doesn't mean we are owed anything extra after the fact.
That's not to speak for those who have bought it recently and are just outside the refund window... but for me, I don't think they owe anything.
I recently bought a piece of expensive music production software. Days after I bought it, it went on sale with about 500 dollars worth of extra extensions for the software. I e-mailed support, no luck. They told me I was SOL.
I really am sorry the new users of the Rift paid less than the old guard, but what you have to remember is, the rift needs players. I could not have afforded (and barely had the money anyway) for the rift at its previous price point. The sale allowed me access to something I never would of had access to had the rift not gone on sale. So you get one new player, and trust there are hundreds like me out there. Hopefully by CV2 we'll all be able to afford the rift straight away.

It's all about timing unfortunately.
I built my 7700k/1080 PC about 3 weeks ago... Amazon wouldn't credit me the $200 difference I paid for Oculus. They told me to return the items.
So I did... got the refund and bought them again at the lower price... and still have my $50 store credit.
Another 10 days or so and I'd have been SOL.
At least it will be easier with the 1080. EVGA offers a 90 day step up program so I can just send them my 1080 and upgrade to the 1080 Ti for the difference in price... about $150.

This wouldn't be such a bitter pill to swallow if the Touch actually worked properly for the last two months. As someone who paid full price for the Touch in late December, but couldn't really use or enjoy them due to tracking issues (height glitching) until early February, I'm pretty annoyed Oculus couldn't give a shit about supporting or compensating people like me.
To rub more salt into the wounds, Oculus support pretty much said for weeks that the problem was due to USB bus capacity, and recommended people spend even more money on USB PCI-E cards to fix a problem that was actually their damn software all along. So not only did I pay full price, get no store credit and couldn't use my Touch for 2 months, but I put another $30 and dozens of hours into fault finding only to discover it was their screwup all along.
And no, I didn't get all the pre-order game bonuses as I wasn't in the early early pre-orders. I pretty much just paid retail price 3 months early and got nothing for it but months of frustration.

I think the price drop is great, more sales and more owners is good for everyone, but come on Oculus, throw us a bone here.
