I have got Horizons Workspace working fine on my Quest 2.
And I also managed to get the Oculus Remote Desktop to work on my laptop so that I can see it's screen at my virtual desk.
However, I cannot do the same for my actual desk PC. Oculus Remote Desktop runs and logs in just fine, but it does not find the headset and the headset does not find it.
All the devices on are on the same network. My desk PC is high spec and has been working with Air Link just fine.
I also made sure that Air Link and (the third party) Virtual Desktop were not running so as not to confuse things.
Any ideas?

Given the lack of updates, and support, I suspect this has been quietly dropped.
I hope I'm wrong though

I've been experiencing the same problem. I finally got it working on my Desktop with a Geforce 2070Super on an i5 which does not have integrated graphics. I had to go into workrooms on my Oculus and unpair it from the workrooms account. Then opened up workrooms in a browser on my desktop, restarted Horizon Workrooms on my oculus and typed in the displayed paring code into the desktop browser after which I was able to get the Oculus Remote Desktop to work inside of Horizon Workrooms on my oculus HMD. Basically I had to repair my HMD to my horizon workrooms desktop account using the browser on my desktop. Hope this helps others.

Hi,
This is still not working? We have March 03 2022 now, and Remote Desktop still can not find my headset...
I am on version 1.2, hoping for a fix soon...
Cheers

Oh, sorry to hear it did not work in your case. Now when I did it was after trying many other things including changing firewall settings etc. but always rebooted my PC before trying something new. Did you start from a clean boot? You might want to try terminating Oculus Remote Desktop on you desktop machine before going to the workrooms website and then do your pairing before restarting the oculus remote desktop app, maybe/hopefully it is a sequence thing. Wishing you success.

Hi and thanks for replying.
I will try to troubleshoot further. I took part in a meeting in Workrooms yesterday and the other participants had the same problem. Some could solve it by logging out and in again, rebooting the headset and the pc. But I have to say the software needs to be upgraded to meke the pc to headset connection reliable. When it is, Workrooms will be a fantastic business tool. Sound is great, BTW. Many features of the app are.
Cheers

March 15 2022 and the v1.3 Desktop client and Oculus App is released and unfortunately with my M1 Mac, my computer still does not see my headset. Same network. Same version number. No headset listed. Help!

Sorry to hear that. Unfortunately I do not own a Mac so I'm unable to troubleshoot to see if I can reproduce what you're experiencing to be able see if I can figure it out. I just tested the new version on my Windows machine and it works for me. The one thing that really bothered me with the previous releases was the fact that it would say to hit "Enter" on my desktop before it would start showing my desktop but since the dialog it popped up on my windows machine did not have focus it always required that I removed my headset and click it with my mouse which was real annoying but now it seems to work without doing that which is a relief.

Hello
I had no success with version 1.2, but yesterday I downloaded and installed the new 1.3 and was able to connect the PC for the first time in months. It still doesn't seem to be straightforward, I needed to unpair/pair headset etc. I really hope this will not be necessary in the future other than for the first time setup. Joining other rooms than your own should only require an invite and accept. But I am still happy to report that I can now display my PC screen again, which makes Workrooms much more usable.
Kind regards from Japan,
Hans
