Hello to all,
First time posting, 6 years of lurking. I am looking for some opinions and / or past experience with the following. My Rift CV1 has performed for the most part flawlessly for the past 5 years, running on an i7 and GTX 1070. I just recently upgraded and built a completely new rig with an AMD Ryzen AMD 7 5800x and RTX 3070 Ti. I was really excited to revisit my library of games both old and new with the added horsepower available but have run into the audio, no video issue ( black screen, orange led in headset, Oculus home sees everything as good under devices ). My Rift continues to run fine on the old rig, jut no luck on the new build. I have done everything Oculus support has sent my way, most of which I already tried prior to opening the ticket following the vast amount of troubleshooting tips available on the web for this same issue. By the third correspondence Oculus has graciously offered to send me a replacement headset. My issue here is, unless the replacement headset is maybe a newer production build and somehow using components that my current headset does not have, something within that somehow addressed newer chipsets, Mobos, GPU's, etc, I just don't see how this will help. My headset is like new. Again, it continues to works fine in my previous PC. I was surprised they even had inventory of CV1 anything which also concerns me that I would receive a Rift S and my original headset would be lost for good. For what it's worth, I also own a Quest 2 and airlink works flawlessly on the new build. Thoughts on what to do?
Best regards
Portnoy

(rift s) It's interesting, after i switched from intel to ryzen 3600, b450, same problems started, after couple months it became unusable. They COULD fix this problem, but they won't. I assume drivers are conflicting somehow,(usb disconnecting) when orange light appears.
