Oculus Rift S haptic feedback not working

CryoKiller
Honored Guest

Since I downloaded an update from June, or July my controllers haptic feedback have not been working while playing games. they work in the default menu, just not in game. Its been a couple of months now and there haven't been an update fixing this, I have an oculus rift s, and i have friends with the same headset, that have the same problem

I want to know when it will be fixed, or if there is a workaround.

Hey @CryoKiller

First, let me  welcome to the Community Forums, I hope you have a great time whilst you are here!

There are a few steps that I would recommend completing to try and resolve this issue:

  • Close the Oculus desktop app
  • Press Windows key + R to launch the Run dialog window
  • Type %AppData%\..\Local\Oculus in the Run box and click OK or press Enter
  • Look for a file named DeviceCache.json and delete it
  • Launch the Oculus desktop app

If you can give this a try and let me know how it goes that would be great!

Would this work for beatsaber not having haptic feedback when other games work with haptic ?

Hey @Umpa_Quest

If this issue is occurring solely within Beat Saber, I would recommend reaching out to the devs Beat Games. If all you other games and apps are otherwise fine, I believe it is an issue with the app as opposed to your device/set-up.

Hope this helps!

Hey, the solution atleast worked for games in my ocules library, it does not fix heptic feedback problems with beatsaber (i might just be a problem with beatsaber). I dont own any other steam VR games, so i dont know if this fix, will work for other non ocules-store games. I need to ask my friends first.

sorry I tried thiis but the issue is still there.

Hey there @jafanello, does haptic feedback work on other games apart from beat saber?

Just tryna keep the Peas on here. 﫛

Hello. Thanks for answering. You are right, I did not notice before but it seems to work on other games. I will contact the developer of beatsaber.

This is the fix, there has been a change made Even and beatsaber from our own store is borked for Rift and Quest.  Your devs know this.
