Oculus Rift and DVI

I have a 970 with 2 DVI ports. I bought a usb to dvi adapter but the oculus software is not detecting a signal. I have the consumer version of oculus rift. Any help that avoids me buying a new graphics card again would be useful.

You need a dvi to hdmi adapter to connect the oculus hdmi cable to the 970. Plug the oculus usb cable into your computers usb port
