So i havent been on my oculus for a couple of weeks, i tried to play some vr after the patch of the run time error that has been fixed with a patch just recently and my oculus will have audio of me in the home menu, i can hear my controllers select things when i pull the trigger but the screen is black and cannot see anything, ive tried redownloading the app, unplugging the hdmi on the rift and console nothing worked i even tried to start games on steam and nothing will make the visuals pop up. Except one thing i have to run the setup for the oculus just to get the visuals to load and have to complete it every time i restart my headset. It works yeah but this is not how its suppose to be. Its very time consuming. What are my options to getting this fixed so when i start the app and put the headset on it will show things as well?
I have exactly the same issue and have done for a few weeks...after unplugging the Rift headset and re-setting everything (just incase), it's now not detecting the HDMI connection at all. Bloody frustrating in the extreme!!

That's crazy! The real crazy part is I only have one hdmi port for my headset that can be plugged in and any other extra external hdmi cables don't work, my tv is my monitor btw so i gotta be using teamviewer on my laptop to look at what I'm doing on the screen
Same problem and unfortunately I already have 388.59 installed. I imagine it's a problem caused by the new update, I've tried unplugging my cords and restarting my computer however, nothing works and I am at a loss here.
My Problem I think is related to a bad cable. I am using 388.59 drivers and was able to play just fine after the update yesterday. But in the middle of playing my video went out, I could still hear audio just fine. I managed to get video back by holding the HDMI cable over my head but it went out after I had moved the cable. I've spent hours messing with the cable to get it in certain positions to try and get video back. Im just frustrated that this happened and my rift is not even 2 months old. I've inspected the cable and it does not have any visual signs of damage. Super expensive paperweight right now...
if i want to use my rift after any time of extended disuse i have to reboot… it's a pain in the neck but hey i'fi want my $'s worth out of it ... i've contacted nvidia and oculus but to no avail with no replies in site
