when I try and launch gorilla tag through the meta quest app it opens in steam as "Oculus VR Plugin (Unknown Engine)" and I want to open it with out steam because steam just breaks it for me I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling that didn't work please help.

You mentioned that when you launch Gorilla Tag from the Meta App that it attempts to open in Steam, are you attempting to use PCVR when this is happening?
What device are you experiencing this on?
When was the last update you performed on your headset?
Do any other app attempt to open Steam on launch or is this the only one?

I actually am having the same problem and I can answer 1: yes it is on both oculus link and virtual desktop 2: the problem is on a meta quest 2. 3: my headset is not able to update and it always says i cant but it never actually lets me, so i wouldn't know. 4: this is the only app that has that problem from my understanding
