Oculus app on PC "Open in browser"

I'm trying to set up the app, but I can't log in. I tried logging in with my Oculus account but it keeps saying I put in the wrong password, even though it's right, and neither the "Help centre" button nor the "Forgot password" button do anything. When I click "Continue with Facebook", "Continue with Instagram" or "Log in with email address", it says:

"Continue in your browser. To confirm your login please switch to your default web browser now. The confirmation process may take a few seconds to complete" There's nothing else on screen.

I don't know where to go from here, I've already tried opening Instagram on my browser, but nothing has popped up, I feel like I'm missing something obvious, but I just can't log in.

You should try the steps like first, ensure you're using the correct login credentials for your Oculus account. If you're certain they're correct then try clearing your browser cache and cookies, then attempt to log in again via the Oculus app. If that doesn't work, reinstall the Oculus app or there might be a technical glitch preventing the login process from completing successfully.

If it should continue, please give the troubleshooting steps below a try:

  1. Clear cache/cookies for the browser.
  2. Use a different connection, such as a mobile network.
  3. Attempt to login using a different device.
