Oculus app won’t find device?

I’m trying to set up a developer account so that I can play vr Minecraft but my oculus app can’t find my headset. Anyone know how to fix this?

why do you need a developer account for minecraft vr?

Hi there. We see you're having a hard time pairing your headset to your phone. We'd be happy to provide some troubleshooting steps to get you back in the game as soon as possible. Please try the following:

  • Ensure the phone's Bluetooth is turned on and the headset is turned on.
  • Clear the Bluetooth cache on the phone
  • Power cycle the phone and the headset.
  • Uninstall and reinstall the Oculus application on the phone.
  • Ensure the phone and headset are connected to same wireless network.
  • As a last resort, ensure the Cloud Backup feature is enabled, and perform a Factory Reset

My phone still cannot find my headset after doing this.

We appreciate you letting us know about the troubleshooting steps you've tried in your previous message. Could you please also let us know if the app on your phone is currently up-to-date and if you have tried to pair it with a different phone or device, like a tablet or iPad?

This is not working. The app is not connecting to the oculus stuck on the code menu

My app says the headset is already paired even though the quest 3 does not show up on the quest app. I am using the quest 3 and the app is on ios / iphone 15pro. I have reinstalled the app on my phone. I have power cycled the quest 3. Both devices (as well as the phone app) are full updated. This is a pretty big software fail. I can resort to factory reseting the headset but this is a huge inconvenience. Any advice?

  • Ensure the phone is compatible with the Meta Quest App
  • Ensure the phone app and headset are on the latest available version
  • Ensure phone and headset are connected to the same network, on the same frequency
  • Remove any unsupported third-party accessories that may affect communication (such as headset covers, etc.)
  • If the issue persists, we do suggest you to do a factory reset on the headset
