Oculus link has suddenly stopped working

OniShrek

I took a few month break from playing with my quest 2 headset and remember having no problems whatsoever. Now every time I try to connect to my pc using oculus link it disconnects. Air link disconnects immediately, cable disconnects after 1 mission in vader immortal 3 dojo. I have tried the following:

-Factory resetting my headset

-Repairing the oculus software

Those 2 are really the only things I remember trying since I couldn't find any other fix suggestions on this exact problem. Does anyone know a fix to this?

Hey @OniShrek. We are glad to have you back in VR, we know it sucks to come back with a problem like this. Not to worry we are here to help and we are going to make sure you get back into VR.

Can you please try installing the latest Oculus Drivers?

  1. Close the Oculus PC app.
  2. Press the Windows key + R on your keyboard to open the Run command.
  3. Enter C:\Program Files\Oculus\Support\oculus-drivers. (File path may be different per user based on the install location)
  4. Open oculus-driver.
  5. Open the Oculus PC app and then try to connect your headset again.

Can you also make sure that your GPU drivers are up to date? We see that you also tried using Air Link, however when you are trying to connect via Oculus Link, can you make sure you have the Air Link feature disabled on your headset?

We are looking forward to hearing how any of this helps.

There are posts on this forum that are still getting new replies from 2021. Do not act, pretend, or otherwise try and deceive that Meta intends to fix the literal constant link issues. This is obviously a mobile only platform at this point and its beyond irritating to have been and still be lied to.

First it was the gpu drivers, then headset drivers, then the era of the powered usb 3.0 hubs, then the cables weren't good enough, then the routers werent good enough, then the app needed constant repairs, now were back to drivers?

Do something serious, pull link support officially and take the class action you're so scared of or pay a dev to go do the dirty with vive or valve for a bit of code.
