Oculus link not loading games on headset

For whatever reason the headset it self with not boot up the game everything works perfectly  Fine game starts on pc but on the headset it self all I see is the image of the game from the library and it says loading yet the game is fully loaded on pc and I even get game sound thru the headset. This happens with every game I try any ideas on how to fix would be appreciated. Oh I should mention this is only from the oculus app steam link works like a dream.

Kinda impossible to say because you don't provide and info on your PC specs, link cable used, and settings.  Link, when properly setup works very well with all my Quest headsets (Q2/3/Pro). 

Maybe try going to the oculus desktop app device settings and run the usb speed test (sometimes takes a couple of tries to get a calculated result).  You should see around 2.0-2.4Gbps.  If not, try a different usb3 port and/or cable.

You may want to try doing a little google research on troubleshooting meta quest Link.  for example;

Otherwise, I suggest you contact meta support, including your log file and see if they can identify what's causing your issue.  Good luck sorting this out mate and cheers.

this is the cable I use, not 100% sure on pc specs but I know it’s more than capable for vr like I said no issues with steam link everything runs fine. I’ve tried oculus link via cable and air and I get the same result everything loads fine vr home menu is all fine as soon as I try and start a game it just will not boot up on headset

I suggest you contact meta support including your log files.  These will tell them your PC specs and they may be able to help you.  Sorry I can't be of further help.  Good luck mate and cheers.

Hi, I am having the same problem.
I have a windows 11 computer, i7 and GeForce RTX 2070 super.
The app starts on the computer, but remains stuck on loading in the quest 2.
Everything is up to date

Thank you for your reply. Here are the answers I can provide:

- I haven't tested it with many apps as I can't seem to make it work. Oculus Dreamdeck works fine, but I have tested three others apps since and always have the same "stuck on Loading window" problem.
- I am not using Steam Library, I have the apps already loaded in the meta quest link library. I tried booting them from the headset and from my computer. And again, they start on my computer, but not on the headset.
- I'm using norton
- I'm running as administrator
- No error message. However, in the Quest link section of the preferences, i have a red flag regarding Ethernet connection (my computer uses Wifi)
- The headset works like a charm (it is in developer mode, in case it changes anything)

It works fine on steam link and I’m also not trying to use steam games from library, it’s just my loaded games on the oculus app. Every game i try starts to load I can hear game sound and it loads on my pc screen but not on the oculus it self even with link cable or air link also not using antivirus and yes running as admin it worked for me about two years ago and I just recently have tried doing it again (original black oculus) it worked fine. But not on the 2 for some reason
